Rugby Legends and Foreigner Team Up to Show SA “What Love Is”

The South African Rugby Legends Association (SARLA) supported by the Rugby Centurions will host an exclusive gala dinner on Saturday, 8 October 2022, featuring a live performance from the legendary band, Foreigner. All proceeds will be donated to the South African Rugby Legends Association. Bookings are now open and limited seats are available. It’s all in the spirit of rugby and rock ‘n roll.

On Saturday, 8 October 2022, SARLA is inviting members of the public to join local Rugby Legends and international rugby stars from the Rugby Centurions for an evening of dining and music with 80s rock legends, Foreigner. Foreigner are best known for their global hits, “I want to know what love is”, “Urgent”, “I’ve been waiting for a girl like you” and “Cold as ice”, among others.

Former Springbok Captain John Smit, legendary wing, Bryan Habana, Victor  Matfield, Percy Montogomery, Tendai “Beast” Mtawarira and Jean De Villiers, George Gregan, Jamie Heaslip, Tamara Taylor, Rochelle Clark, Ma’a Nonu are some of the rugby greats that will be attending the evening.

 

Event and booking details are as follows:

Date: Saturday, 8 October 2022

Venue: Pavilion Room, Sandton Convention Centre, Maude Street, Sandton

Time: 18h15 for 19h15 (doors close at 19h30)

Dress code: Black tie

Costs: Centurion table – R 60 000 (excl. VAT) for a table of nine with a rugby Centurion;

SA Rugby Legend table – R 45 000 (excl. VAT) for a table of nine with an SA Rugby Legend;

Rugby table – R 30 000 (excl. VAT) for a table of 10.

Founded in 2001, SARLA is a registered non-profit company (NPC) with two complementary objectives: Developing rugby at the grassroots level and supporting the needs and interests of Legends.

All proceeds collected by SARLA are donated to worthy charities and development projects, including the VUKA Rugby Programme, which focuses on young players in disadvantaged communities who have traditionally been excluded from structured rugby training and grassroots level competition.
